This collection has been so much fun because it has grown and shifted as the summer has gone on. What started out as a small collection to highlight my newest illustrations - the Ohio River fish on classic shapes grew into including some brand new shapes as well. The inspiration for the new pottery shapes in this collection came to me while tending to our backyard vegetable garden.

I haven’t made these plate bowls in years but with all of the salad greens we have been growing I have found myself craving this shape for our big salad lunches. This round of them I wanted to highlight the new clay that I switched to earlier this year so I left the outside unglazed to feel the raw clay.

As I was harvesting our salad veggies I started wishing for berry bowls to rinse off in but also to store things on the counter with better air flow than a regular bowl.

The amount of salad veggies we have been harvesting has had me dreaming up serving bowls as well. These fish serving bowls have been a labor of love with 3 hand painted fish on each bowl. These are also unglazed on the outside other than the glazed fish illustrations.

A few weeks ago we dug up our garlic that we planted last fall and I knew I needed to try out some garlic graters!
